video games,
J Rock or pop band or movie. This 'costume play', if you will, is where we get the word cosplay for short.
Catching up with this trendy fashion scene are numerous cosplay cafes springing up in Tokyo's
Akihabara district to cater to devoted anime and cosplay fans. Even the waitresses at such cafés
dress as game or anime characters; maid costumes are particularly popular.
There is a large range of Maid Cafes.
